My RC Journey

My very first RC car was the legendary Tamiya Grasshopper. It was June 1984, and my older brother Ron had just picked up a Tamiya Audi Quattro. I was green with envy. Luckily, my 15th birthday was around the corner, and my parents made me an offer: if I could save up half the cost, they’d cover the rest as my birthday gift. And that was it—the moment I got my hands on that Grasshopper, I was hooked. It’s been over 40 years now, with some breaks along the way, but no matter how far I drifted, I always found my way back to the thrill of RC cars, trucks, planes—pretty much anything with a motor and wheels. After decades of tinkering, racing, and more than a few spectacular crashes, I’ve picked up a thing or two. Now, I’m ready to share that passion and hard-earned knowledge with you.
